Stacking Star Boxes

Star boxes are great decorating accessories as well as storage solutions. Four boxes in this set of five were stacked to create a tree shape. A star was glued to the smallest box to top off the tree. The fifth box is displayed on its side to show the star shape.

Materials

Instructions

  1. Boxes. Give your boxes an antique finish with Crackle Creations. Separate the lids from the boxes and follow the manufacturers’ directions to complete the two-step process. Place the boxes and lids on a large piece of cardboard or drop cloth and spray the crackle, working outside or in a well-ventilated area and wearing a mask. Let dry.
  2. Star. Cut the cord off of the star. Use the foam brush to apply metallic gold acrylic paint to both sides of the star.
    Let dry.
  3. For extra protection, apply Clear Top Coat to the boxes.
  4. Hot glue the star to the center of the small box lid.
